This year my goal is to experience things a lot of people think
about, but will never do. Ever thought about writing a book, meeting
a certain person, or doing something considered "not normal"? Me
too, let's just do it!
Who am I? Just an average 24-year-old Dutchie. Finished my bachelors
in "Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation" in 2025 and hopefully
starting a masters this year. And then? I have no clue at all!
So, let's learn random skills, create crazy memories, and maybe
figure out more than just the next goal!

Finished Books
Kitchen Confidential
By Anthony Bourdain
Finished: 21/02/2026
A bit outdated, but an entertaining inside look at the kitchen of a
chef who used to sniff more than just cultures.
Brief Answers to the Big Questions
By Stephen Hawking
Finished: 16/03/2026
While explaining difficult material such as the multiple histories
theory by Freeman, the book is written in a way that most people will
understand the basis and curiousity is fostered. The character of
Hawking reaches you through subtle jokes that are hidden in the text,
which makes the book a lighter read. The book goes beyond the surface
of the question and dives into the deeper subquestions that help to
answer the question in support of Hawking’s response.
“Be curious.”
Greenlights
By Matthew McConaughey
Finished: 18/06/2026
Although the book was a bit spiritual for my taste,
McConaughey takes you on a trip past the values that lead him in his life.
No, you don’t have to copy anything, but it can give you as the reader some values to follow too.

People from allover the world
Location: Vietnam
When: April 2026 - May 2026
During my travels in Vietnam, I got to meet people from all over the
world again. Each person that I met, was open to have fun in a
completely different culture and environment while being respectfull
to the locals. Therefore, these people were also partly responsible
for my amazing experience in Vietnam.
Places these people came from: Australia, Austria, Canada, France,
Germany, Israel, Italy, New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States,
and of course Vietnam.
Special shoutout to all the amazing locals at the hostels we stayed at

Running Again
Goal Progress
Building back up after a knee injury from last year. Doing casual runs
to build up endurance again.
First Road Bike Ride
Goal Progress
Did my first ride on a road bike. Together with a friend we rode a
loop of 55km on an easy pace which went quite well.
Longest Road Bike Ride Yet
Goal Progress
The plan was to ride some 80kms together with a friend. The ride ended up being about 96km
long with another 14km ride back from the train home. After 80km everything hurt already, but with a
bit of persistance, we made it! This time, no pain in the shoulders and back, which is a big plus, but it is clear
that my bum needs some adjusting to the sadle and long rides.
So, close to the 100km goal already! Would be great to do it without being totally fatigued tho.. At least we got something to train for!
Children's Book: Bobbie Bravo
Status Update
Location: Australia
So, I landed on writing a book about a boy called Bobbie Bravo who likes to explore other places and gets to
learn about the culture there during his travels.
The first trip Bobbie is going to make is gonna be to AUSTRALIA!!
Currently I am drafting up the timeline of the book and learning how to write in a way that captivates children.

Contact with media office of Kata Tjuta National Park
After creating a rough timeline of the book, I wrote to the media office of Kata Tjuta National Park to ask about the best way
to write about the wider communities of Central Australia. They provided me with a lot of information that could help me during the writing of the book.
They also suggested writing to the Central Land Council to ask for advice and additional information.
So, amazing help and advice which helps me to move forward in this project! :)
